Lots going on and Joseph's Fancy Landscapes Crazy Cows

Trevors Tribute Tea Party saw approximately 80 people turn out to enjoy an evening of warmth and humour and rememberance. We chose Makaton rather then BSL translation for the event.

Fantastic to have Friends and Dancing with us and honoured guest Giles!

Film coming via Bobby to celebrate it.

Anna and Leigh helped hang it all and then again...

Our impromptu exhibition!

"Joseph's Fancy Landscapes Crazy Cows"

We move on to how, talking to someone about their beautiful puppy with brown expressive 'eyebrow' markings can lead to an exhibition! Such a nice first chat with Jacob and Roo ( the puppy ) and soon we have a nice supportive relationship with Dark Pony Coffee as we do with Back Lane West

and thanks to Leigh ( hanging/curation) and Anna ( poster and support) we had the back up enable it to happen..i heard myself say, "It has to be Fun" often hard work but the joy and fun need to be near the top! access was an issue but a cheap ramp bought online is excellent - phew.

Then the blended event as so don't want others to miss out and Joseph is at home, so it had to be so and actually proved its worth again and again with as many, if not more people on zoom, looking in having guided tours all round and a catch up and a chat.

Mael and Jacob are so welcoming and unphased by us! i'm still grateful and amazed, and am busy plotting who to next invite in, it has to be easy, as no allocated funding for it ...Anna introduced me to the term a 'Passion project'..most of mine are occasionally i get pushed into a funnel i don't choose but that can be good for one!

Accessible Art also includes where you exhibit/ perform, as well as how you create/deliver and today i had a chat which confirmed for me that free on entry is a must for so many people, often the unheard. I was told how the person had wanted to see the The Ordinalia but ticket cost and fuel were too much, so they were thrilled when we did A Call to Home free and came, loved it and said how men near them were crying.

The exhibition was the culmination of a wish i had to give Joseph a local low key relaxed exhibition. I had a grander idea of Cornish Cows and Verdant Vegans, art work alongside research and some information about local eating with positive care for our environment and ethics, which never came off, i still hope we might!

I want all our work now to contain an element of response to the global crisis, positive pathways from collaborations are needed NOW!

We've had a blended AGM and are planning the next and while working on my way to that, i was contemplating how to share what we had done and thought posters is a good way to get a taste and overview of events...Anna will make a better one but sharing this now for Fun...

There is so much bubbling away in Shallal and around ...

grateful to be part of The Ladder discussion developments for Old Library Redruth with Rift Theatre and others and to have some Shallal stuff stored there.

I'm entering holidays and the same story each year to tidy! this year with slightly less Shallal stuff as we extend and develop, it's so good it grows away from me.

Eddie was 30 recently and had a grand party yesterday.

Zoe Wilton gave an exclamation of joy yesterday when told her painting was in Joseph exhibition - there's a lot of wall space so we filled the last part with a painting by Zoe and Sally and a print by Eddie. An 11 year old boy on holiday from Edinburgh bought a small painting on the first day it opened with the last of his holiday money!

Looking forward to sharing some short films slideshows etc over the holidays and I know Lou and Phoebe of Shallal Studio are launching the Underworld ebook soon! Lizzie our new trustee hopes to make an animation and Art Connection are looking at simple book illustrations next term and Jo L is excited for developing ..I'll leave you guessing. Podcasts need diary dates and plans as does Back Lane West residency.

Big Thank you to Ian and Chris in the background, holding us steady and Congratulations to Chris and Viktoriia as ( the Cornish ) Ukranian refugee choir make it big! singing at Everton Football stadium.
