News
Hi - I drowned my mobile phone so am even more on Holiday then i planned to be! Hope to be up and running in a week or so, contact me on landline or email if needed!

Barbara has put in a really interesting bid to work with us to Arts Council and BBC, if successful we will be in touch, it's to do in this time of shutdown and will involve most people who want to be included at some level :).
Lou is also putting in a bid for developing Shallal Studio film outreach and connections,
so thank you to them both for continuing to be so busy and inspired for Shallal and the combined creativity!

I'm collating all the many and manifold ways we are keeping in touch! and am so impressed by all the group facilitators and associate artists are doing...
THANK YOU
we have such a wonderful diverse range of talents and approaches and this time really enables them to shine and be seen and appreciated.

Silent Walks...
contact Demelza if you would like a film shared with you!

."........ on my walks i have been doing some filming of " silent walks" between 5- 10 mins for some other folk that are housebound.

It is like going on a virtual walk, i hold the camera as if you are walking with me, sometimes resting on particularly beautiful scenes, views, colours, textures and sounds, and light changes.

I have done a morning and a night walk, and others sometimes with commentary for the people i am doing it for, or just the beauty of silence and the natural sounds around, particularly the wind the past few days here in St Ives!!!

As St Ives and surrounds are especially beautiful it allows the receiver to enjoy the walk... That's if they have the technology on to view!
Maybe appropriate for one of the pages for people to access and then if they want transfer their experience of what they like through art or song or a dance."

Cornwall My Home
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHjGSSGZd98

I’ve stood on Cape Cornwall in the sun’s evening glow,
On Chywoone Hill at Newlyn to watch the fishing fleets go,
Watched the sheave wheels at Geevor as they spun around,
And heard the men singing as they go underground,
And no one will ever move me from this land,
Until the Lord calls me to sit at his hand,
For this is my Eden, and I’m not alone,
For this is my Cornwall and this is my home,
I’ve left childish footsteps in the soft Sennen sand,
I’ve chased the maids there, all giggly and tanned,
I’ve stood on the cliff top in a westerly blow,
And heard the wave thunder on the rocks far below,
Chorus
First thing in the morning, on Chapel Carn Brea,
To gaze at the Scillies in the blue far away,
For this is my Cornwall, and I’ll tell you why,
Because I was born here and here I shall die.
