"You can't tell who the organisers are."

 Best quote ever

of Shallal in a creative space," You can't tell who the organisers are."

yay!

it might also be what someone described recently as my "chaotic way of working" this was more a behind the scenes ( exasperated ) comment which i accept. We have a new general manager to hold all that now whereas before our business manager was ill and unavailable for quite a few months...Anyway...

'order out of chaos' and 'embracing the moment' and 'listening', are all part of the creative process for improvised dance and creative practice.

I have always said i need to work with good 'finishers' and those good at detail.

I'm working on our creative bridges application and had a wonderful quick chat this morning with Peter Freeman and just have a passion for reaching to our Moscow colleagues. I have visited Moscow 3 times now.

"The notion of what an artist is, is explored within Shallal. The artists as creative interaction with the world we live in."

Looking back to find event dates i saw this blog post and i find we are still on the same threads, which is heartening...https://shallal-arts.blogspot.com/2018/02/doorways-exhibition-and-from-gallery-to.html

it has an eerie reference to may scattiness as well!! "working with an indecisive and scatty creative director with a very poor filing system!!"

However i'm glad to report we have now archived a lot of our past material and are still doing more and more....a mammoth task, but on it is on its way thanks to Anna and Barbara, Phoebe and Lou.

Shout LOUDER recording in from Manda, so all set to start soon.

'A Call to Home' is percolating behind the scenes, and we will greet September at a run.

Colin has 3 'Out of the Ordinary' sessions on 5th, 6th and 7th of September.

A lot of electrical equipment to enable greater access to sessions and projects is being delivered to our home thanks to Duchy Health funding! and will be PAT tested and distributed asap.

The session went really well approx 30 people! and some beautiful art work inspired by a fun intro vlog by Jo L with suggestions and Sapphire supporting the 'blended' Zoom dance participants.

On Sunday they visit St Just and Adam will be filming, we hope the sunshines!

Today was also Skye's birthday!

you can find her on Spotify ,FB and instagram and more!
