Congratulations to Claire and Adam for this beautiful snapshot of all the fabulous work of Shallal Sketchbooks! which has survived and thrived thanks to the hard work of Claire, all the surrounding support emergency funding, Nikki and Kevin of Imagine If, and the generous support and understanding of the surrounding Shallal team.
It's been a hard journey keeping it going through the past year. In lockdown it quickly became obvious it was an incredibly important outreach element of Shallal's offer but with one person pushing it forward, with support but still solo, it was an incredible feat. Many thanks to Imagine If for their support and finding funding. Now thanks to Barbara's successful application for our general managers role, a new finance manager in place, and a funding group, Claire has support and a good team with Colin, Laura, Jo Cain and others.
Here's to an expanded and sustainable future and development.
Claire has recently also started being mentored by Jayne Howard of Arts Well. https://arts-well.com/about-us/ and can be seen sometimes using their hot - desking space on a Tuesday morning.
